Why I Like You Tube So Much: The Videos, The Music, The Learning!

We are all aware of You Tube and how powerful it is. It is a video sharing website that was started in 2005 by former Pay pal employees Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawid Karem. It was bought by Google in 2006 for 1.65 billion and now operates as a one of their subsidiaries. Not bad for a years work.

Videos, Music, Celebrities and Movies.

I love watching You Tube for just about any kind of video you can imagine. If you want to catch up on some news for the day the ease of use to get a You Tube Video is amazing. I just go to You Tube and type in the keywords and you have your selection to choose from. A prime example of this is British musician Adele. Adele lyrics and Adele music is plastered all over You Tube and the web. I like her because she can captivate with her voice, not other assets if you know what I mean. If you want to find a You Tube Movie it is there. Just type in your keywords and your movie will pop up. It may not be the whole movie. You will have to watch it in segments but it is available there.

If you want to have access to all kinds of free online music or free music You Tube has it. I don't know if you can download anything here I have never tried. I am a fan of old school music so if I want to load up some old Curtis Mayfield, Bootsy Collins I can. Or if you want to reminisce about the old days load up your old tunes. Since it is the holidays we played Christmas tunes via You Tube at out Christmas Party; Let It Snow was one of the songs.

I get a kick out of watching idiot celebrities on You Tube. I normally watch it with my mom. We loaded up Lyndsay Lohan news clips and talked about her rise and fall. You tube can certainly spark a conversation with us we discussed Lyndsay Lohan's photo shoot, and different Lyndsay Lohan video segmnents. I thought she was pretty good in her movies and wasn't a bad singer. It is in my opinion a shame she has messed herself up. Although she wasn't bad in Machete.



Learning Tool:

This what I love most about You Tube. It is an excellent learning resource that you probably couldn't have access to easily any other way. How many of us have looked at You Tube to learn how to do a Hub Page or learned about Internet marketing tools? I know I have and if you want something demonstrated no matter what it is You Tube has it available. I just recently fixed my Whirlpool Ice Maker by watching a You Tube training video. A young man in my church learned how to play the guitar from it. Another great thing, at least for use at the gym, is is if you are trying to show a boxing technique or grappling move you can always pull it up on You Tube so that someone can see it done by a top notch pro. The younger guys have no idea who Larry Holmes or Tommy Hearns is. However when you display their technique by playing an old tape via You Tube they like what they see and understand what you are trying to say.

Cooking:

You can actually see how someone demonstrates the preparation of a recipe. I like this because I like to cook and sometimes I need a visual on how to make something. I can't always get this from a cookbook.

Exercise:

Proper technique and form is very important when exercising so if you have any idea on how to do a certain routine just load up a You Tube Video and tons of videos are there to see you through.

Another example is I just say a new segment discussing a Barrel Roll. I had no idea it was something Google was doing to show of search engine power. I always thought it was a flying maneuver. Without You Tube I probably wouldn't have seen it.

You Tube has certainly affected everyones life. If you want to watch a viral video, play something and relive old times with friends or family or try to learn something the world has to offer You Tube is a great resource. I have really just scratched it's surface!
